A Weekend Away

Last weekend, I went on a trip to Gibraltar near Spain for a long weekend away with my mum and sister after deciding that we needed a couple of days a break. As we saw, it was one of the nicest weekend in England and we decided to go away which disappointed us but it didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves! The weather in Gibraltar was so hot, 25°C and the weather was just so warm and I got a lovely tan (a little bit sunburnt too oops!)

We spent the two days we were away in the sun, we travelled to the top of The Rock and saw over the top of Gibraltar, saw the monkeys and even saw part of Morocco in Africa! The view was just stunning! We stopped off for ice cream and sat back to enjoy the sun whilst we could! We took a boat trip out into the sea, to see if we could see any dolphins but unfortunately we couldn't find any, so we enjoyed the ride nevertheless.

The streets of Gibraltar were busy, and there was a Main Street where we in particular enjoyed shopping for clothes and souvenirs for our friends and family! I really enjoyed staying in the Sunborn Yacht Hotel, the sunsets were absolutely stunning from the view of our hotel room and we were so close to the main town and all the markets and restaurants! I would definitely go again and recommend if you're looking for a chilled and hot place to go away for a couple of days away!

Birthday Wishlist

Before starting and sharing with you my wishlist, I'd like to say that I am in no way bragging or boasting in no way shape or form. These are just a few suggestions and things that I'd be extremely grateful to be given, not that I'm not grateful with the things I've got now.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade -

Considering eyebrows weren't even part of my makeup routine a couple of months ago, I've been experimenting with my eyebrows, after discovering how bad they've looked for the past couple of years! I've heard so many good reviews on this dip brow pomade, and hopefully I'll love it as much as other people have said it is!

Two Faced Better Than Sex Mascara -

Just everything about the Two Faced mascara is perfect! The packaging is absolutely stunning and the actual mascara has had such good reviews! As I've got such short stubby eyelashes, I struggle to find a mascara which can volumise and lengthen my lashes at the same time, so hopefully this mascara will fulfil my dreams of finally having longer lashes!

Pandora March Birthstone Ring -

I don't usually wear a lot of jewellery, but this ring is absolutely gorgeous and considering it is the gem of my birth month is even better, I love the aquamarine coloured gemstone too!

Michael Kors Rhea Black Backpack -

I've wanted a black backpack in so long and I honestly fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it! It's such a good size and it's perfect to carry essentials in it. It's perfect to go shopping with just a small backpack which you can fit small essentials and needs in, perfect for a day out!

Calvin Klein Grey Bralette  -

These bralette's are something that's been on my wish list for a while and to be fair, they're absolutely stunning! It will most probably motivate me to workout more and to definitely get myself back into shape, but just wearing it in bed or to a casual 'gathering', it will always be easy to pair up with as an outfit!

Morphe Brushes 35F Eyeshadow Palette -

Morphe palettes I've been told, are so pigmented and especially for £23.00 just such good quality! All their palette's are amazing and I've fallen in love with so many, mainly the 35O (35OM, 35OS) but they're all extremely inexpensive considering you get 32 eyeshadows!

Q&A Collab

I thought I'd start March off with a Q&A answering questions which were commented on my Q&A Instagram post. I decided to do this as a collaboration with the lovely Emma who's blog is absolutely gorgeous and her posts are so helpful and interesting!

@gracexkate: How has your 2017 started?

My 2017 has been full of exciting and adventurous events, which has made my 2017 so much more exciting and I've been so much happier! I've got so many events ahead of me, I've planned more shopping trips, days out with friends and I attended my first concert, and it was honestly amazing! In February I attended Drake's Boy Meets World Tour and I've got some exciting plans for the next few months coming up!

@myblurredworld: What's your biggest achievement?

This is such a hard question to answer! On a general level, I think learning to be happier and all in all trying to surround myself with people who are so positive and make me happy! I also think being more confident has been another one of my biggest achievements, I've learnt to be more confident with myself and I've been trying to love myself more and be happier with myself.

@floralbeautyguru: When did you start wearing makeup?

I wasn't comfortable enough in wearing a full face of makeup out for ages, but I started wearing makeup about a year ago, wearing it over the weekends, I started off with buying eye makeup, and then I started using BB Creams and then I started wearing foundations and bases.

@xxbandobsessedxx: What inspired you to create a blog?

I was inspired by no one in particular to start a blog, but people had inspired me to start a blog and talk about the things I enjoy and the things that I love. Most of the people I have met on social medias, had blogs and YouTube channels already and this inspired me to start a blog and work with the people around me to create a little space on the internet where I could share my opinions, hobbies, things I love to people with different cultures and hobbies to me!

@theaveragegurlx: Favourite beauty brand?

Again, another tough question, there's not a particular beauty brand I favourite, but if I had to say I'd probably say either Maybelline or Soap and Glory. Maybelline is a brand that I really like, because not only are their products such good quality, they're at a reasonable, inexpensive price, and as teenagers and young adults, it's extremely common for us to be short on money or have a tight budget. Soap and Glory has always been one of my choice of beauty brands because not only are the products again such good quality, they also have a range of different skincare products to help teenagers with their skin.

@floralbeautyguru: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years time, I hope to see myself with a stable job and have left college and depending what I want to do at University, I hopefully either would be on a course or have finished my course. I also hope that I've found a job that pays well, and I'll fingers crossed have enough/saving up for my first car and have learnt how to drive!

@blondeblogger18: Future job you hope to achieve?

On an achievable level, I honestly don't have a clue what I want to do when I'm older! But I would love to have my own clothing line or homeware line, as a side-job as something I want to do as a hobby, as well as a full time job, which would be like accountancy or mathematical!

@bundlesofsurprises: What are your 3 hopes for life?

My three hopes in life are to be happy, to have a family and taking every advantage of life and not regret anything at all.

February Book Favourites 2017

One of the things I have been enjoying doing in 2017 is reading books. Books been one of the things I enjoy getting stuck into, however, I'm so caught up with school and homework, that I hardly have time to myself to read! I've chosen some of my favourites of this month - a mindful book, a poetic book, and two fiction books, which both I have cried at!

Calm by Michael Acton Smith
Milk And Honey by Rupi Kaur
The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon

The mindful book, Calm, has been a reflection of the things that have happened to me, and each chapter has different mindful activities to complete, from drawing to meditation. It's such a practical and relaxing book, and it definitely does what the title says!

Milk And Honey was a book I came across while on a number of social medias. It's a book filled with poems, each of the four chapters contain poems which deal with different types of pain, dealing with poems about rape, heartbreak, trauma, self-worth and struggles. It's such an emotional book filled with personal interpretations, emotions and empowerment.

The Sky Is Everywhere has always been a book that I fell in love with - within the first couple of pages. The book is filled with happiness, laughter, silliness but also sadness and such a beautiful book, definitely one to get you crying!

Everything Everything had been recommended to me by a lot of people, and as I saw a trailer recently, I was excited to start reading this book. It's such a warming book, and as soon as I got into the book, I knew there was something special about it. The main plot in this story was so easy to follow, but so unpredictable and it was definitely one that made me cry!

a risk. It's up to you'
